I always used an aluminum bat. Be brave and work gradually.

i tried using a hammer haha but it got me no where...how do you use a bat? just roll it?

take the small end where it can fit and of you can have a friend push the car, just use leverage by slowly pushing down on the bat. one whole rotation and gradually go to the bigger end of the bat. It's going to scratch the bat pretty good.
