After coming home from work today (early):buttrock I took the cover off of the car and wanted to take a spin...

I proceeded to leave my neighborhood, and punched it out of the neighborhood and much to my surprise my pedal "stuck" about halfway down !!!!! There were cars everywhere :help Lucky for me and Puma Driving Shoes, along with "cat-like reflexes" :lol I was able to put my toe under the pedal and pull it back and everything was cool...But there seems tho be a bit of resistance about halfway down...

But now there seems to be a bit of "dead pedal" ...

Any suggestions ?????

Thank-You In Advance

Sounds like a solid response to me TXGR8 ....

Now How Do I Fix It ???? Without taking it to the "STEALER" ?????

I would first check the spring action. Also, you may just have a build-up of old grease and carpet lint that is keeping the shaft from rotating freely. You can look back there by removing the footwell cover from below the steering wheel.

I sprayed the hinge directly behind the gas pedal,,, got better but the "dead" area is still there... This is something that I would like to "TRUST" when I punch the car!!!!

The "spring" sounds like something to look at....

I am sure that some of the brotherin also has had this problem, thank-you for the first insight GR8WHITE....

You need to remove the black plastic cover to see where the linkage goes to the pedal pot. This is where all the "gunk" winds up, and could very well be your problem.
