Only Forged. 3-4 week delivery for most.

Here's the "catch" - these prices WILL come down if we get 15 people depositing $100 each to secure a spot. They will most likely come down ANOTHER 5-7%!!!

Why are the RGR's diamond black and the RSGT's silver? I was under the impression the RSGT's were only available in diamond black in the US...hmmmm

Actually, I made a mistake if we get 10-15 people, our prices will be 10% lower.

but I've got to research the diamon black separately.

I have a 2002 325i w/ H&R Coilovers
Would I able to fit BBS RS-GT Front->19x8.5 ET35 and 19x9.5 ET40 without rubbing?
Would I have to roll my fenders? Would I need spacers? Please let me know. Thank you. :dunno

I've been looking for lightweight wheels so that I could run 265s all around. The wheel size should be 18x9.5 (or *maybe* 18x9). I don't think BBS makes anything in the right offset for the front wheels of an E46 M3 in this size. But if I'm wrong, let me know and I may be interested.

Are those retail prices? From the prices, they seem pretty steep. Having LMs, I know the going prices for most BBS forged rims.

is this for all 4 or what?

umnitza

Those prices are an "opening" shot.

If we get 10, the prices come down significantly. 15 and we drop even further.

The prices is for one, forged BBS rims don't come cheap. Most forged rims are about that price.

So the prices listed up top is MSRP? So it's 10 people or nothing right?

umnitza
07-09-2003, 07:54 PM
No, the prices are "purchase today" prices.

What we've decided to do is this:

You can place your deposit now, 50% down.
If we reach 10 people, then you simply have less of a payment to make to get your wheels.

Matt,

I am going to add in quite a few pointers on these wheels for your customers. If you see anything out of place, feel free to edit it...These are not your normal wheels. The RG-R and RS-GT are made using the highest aircraft quality aluminum possible. The RCJ and LM are built in Germany using top-notch materials and all wheels are TUV....etc... approved. Ask any of the american "3-piece forged wheel" companys if they can say all of that? I don't believe so!!!!! The only thing I can say is don't miss out, you may not get a deal like this again...:)

Wes

PS...Matt I am going to IM later regarding some of the wheels you have and their availability!!!

Can any wheel in a Diamond Black finish be had for a staggered 18" setup for an E36 M3 (Need/prefer an 18x9.5 out back and prefer an 18x8.5 up front)

(Preferablle looking for RG-R cause of the lower weight, but it looks like RS-GT)

Thanks.
Instead of posting back, feel free to email me. I tried emailing before, but I believe you had issues recieving AOL emails.

carcrazed4life,

I am going to help Matt out as I know he is a very busy man. You can get the RS-GT in Diamond Black, infact thats all you can get at the moment in the US. Downside is it is an 18X9 and the wait time could be quite long. The RG-R is available in 18X9.5, but the offset is slightly off, ET28 I believe. Depending on your suspension setup, and how far your fenders are pulled...it is a possibility to get that wheel in there, but I doubt it. Tell me your suspension mods, brake mods, and if your fenders are pulled. I am running a 255 out back with an ET35 offset and my fenders are pulled 1.5", no fender lining, and a little cutting. That is on G/C Coil-overs dropped to the ground. A 9.5 will almost definantly require some more work than that due to the fact that the smallest tire you can really run is a 255, where 265/275 is more reasonable. Get back to me on the suspension tuning etc...and I will let you know what Matt can do for you if he doesn't get back to you first.

mis-type, 18X9 not 9.5

carcrazed4life
07-13-2003, 06:26 PM
Well Besides the most aggressive fender roll you have seen, i've got nothing body wise done. I've had 265/35/18 on non-rolled 18x9 ET 40 OZ Superleggeras to fit fine. I'm not a slammed GC person, rather i'm setting my GCs at a height that allows for me to keep the wide rubber without rubbing. Now i'm trying to accomplish 285/30/18s on 18x9.5 out back...I know its outrageous....but i've done it with BBS CH, and it cleared barely. My main issues was offset wasn't what I wanted. To out towards the fender, I can get an SSR GT3 perfect in there with 285/30/18 out back, and 255/35/18 up front. I actually like the SSR GT3, but I want a single peice wheel in the BBS finish and want it lightweight as well.

Hense my dilemna.

Sorry for the confusion, but I'm hell bent on making something work, and the last resorts are SSR GT3 in their dark finish.

Thanks.

one participant put it best:

I put 50% down of amount listed for wheels plus actual shipping costs and the wheels will ship in 3 to 4 weeks ????

For example: I want RS GT's in an 18*8 size ( $654.50*4= $2,618 )plus $100 shipping = $2,718 total * 50% = $1,360 deposit probable final payment of $1,360 (this final payment could be 10% lower $262) ??? So final pmt could be 1360-262= $1,098

Total cost for 4 BBS RS GT's would be (1098+1360= $2458) or $615 per wheel

this was spot on.

What is the offset on the 17x9 RG-R? E36 M3 fitment.

umnitza
07-16-2003, 03:00 AM
I don't believe the 17X9 RG-R fits the M3.
It's bolt pattern is 5X114, not 5X120.

The 17X8.5 will.

There is no wheel that is forged from BBS that has a 17X9 fitment for our cars.

Can I get a 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 fitment RS-GT for a 98 M3 Coupe!? I believe the offsets are 35mm front and 43 rear? I'm not sure.

umnitza

38mm offset for front.
no 18X9.5 in 43 rear - it's 22mm, which won't work.
But 18X9s are 45 which is perfect.

ok i have a question about fitment of BBS LM's on my 95 m3. im lookin to go 18" but my rear fenders are custom so i can fit a pretty large diameter. The thing is that i am uncertain about what size to go with with the LM's. I am currently running 17 X 10 ET: 15mm with 265/40/r17. I was thinkin along the lines of 18x13 with a 35mm offset for the rear, i think that would fit nicely, correct me if im wrong. If i can figure out what size i need to get im down to get some LM's

Hey Matt, Been a while, but to refresh...I think you said you would see what could be done about getting some BBS wheels in other sizes...

I was looking at the BBS RGR. I know the 18x8.5 in 5x120 in 38mm offset is available.

I was looking to see if we could get 18x9.5 in 38mm offset (but would need to be special ordered in 5x120...I know TR said they'd be able to look into this, but i'd rather get them from you...) Is it possible even...or just speculation. I really need 18x9.5s out back.

Thanks.
Charlie.

you need new lights too;)
And at least get some StonGard for your fogs - the blue looks awful on them;)

Haha, I actually have ZKWs, and the stoneguard, I just have been to lazy to put it on. I bought it from Jim P. over a year ago. As for the fogs, I am going to replace them with the factory plastic inserts and get a little extra air up there with some tubing. Now if you would start selling some Corbeaus :awink: , or get us a better shipping deal on those Autopower Roll bars, we might have to talk.

Some of the wheels are on the site at ACTUAL prices.

umnitza

Some of you are wondering if these are GB prices or not.

These prices are good as long as the BBS (PTB - powers that be) don't raise prices.

Correction: LM's and RCJ are forged in Japan.

Matt, toying with the idea of shipping wheels to Sweden... :stickoutt what's the price on staggered 18" BBS LM? width would be what.. front ~8" rear ~9" ET high 30's i think

umnitza
10-26-2003, 05:36 PM
for E36s? I don't think 9s fit. 8s are the only ones.
Shipping would be too high but we can try, email us.

Are the centers on the LM's actually removable, or are the bolts fake?

The reason I ask is because I would like to have the centers anodized.

Thanks

Well all wheels are "real" :stickoutt

So if I had a LM sitting in front of me, I could remove all the bolts and walk away with just the center section?

theoretically, if you were the type to walk away with center sections :stickoutt

LMs on E36 wheels come only in 18x8, if you want a custom offset you need to get a set of GT3 rims aka Magneusim rims. Those cost major $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

It's a special ONLY on this board.
