Try Jon Caldito, he's a BMW Tech and just recently did an install. I don't know if he's in the Bay Area, but you can contact him and see what he can do/how close he is.

Good luck,

Boris

Unfortunately LexdiamonNYC and I are about 6-7hrs apart.

He can come to LA but I would need the car for about 3-4 days for install.

I mentioned 3 days becauses thats the best turn around time that I can give you for the DME shipping out of CA to FL and back. Just shipping the DME alone can cost you close to $90.00 total.

I also do NOT want to rush with the installation. I can do it in a day or two but I dont want to take the risk of screwing something up and you get stuck in the middle of CA or having more delays.

I will email you a quote in case you are curious.

PS. I am an ex BMW Tech.

He did my install and did a wonderful job.
Kept me updated and informed through out the whole thing.

Thanks

Someone else in Northern California just got an AA S/C. You should ask him where he is getting his done.

You might try www.dynospotracing.com in San Jose, or ping kitwetzler on the forum, he does various installs.

Yeah, I just installed my AA S/C and have the bruises, cuts scrapes and dirty fingernails to prove it! It took me three days working about six or seven hours per day to do it. The instructions could have been more user friendly, and it's just tough trying to cram even more stuff under our hoods.

Anyway, good luck finding a shop to do it. I just don't trust anyone with my car. >>>Mat

Oh yeah? Adding a SC in the roomy E36 engine compartment is easy compared to this:

Was it really necessary for the engine to be removed or is there another story to it?

With the scope of work we did, pulling the motor and tranny seemed easier. Those turbos are really stuffed in there! Having done the upgrade now, I think there is a work-around, but since wrenching is only my hobby probably won't be doing another... unless :devillook

Just curious but what Stage Spec Clutch kit is bolted on?

Stage 3 IIRC, the S4 should be upwards of 450wtq.

Sorry for the o/t LexdiamonNYC!

Couple of potential places....try Rennwerks in Mountain View..this is where I take my M Coupe....rennwerks.com. Also, I have heard very good things about A&E Performance in Campbell

Would you be willing to do it yourself??
