guys I am posting the priliminary prices on the schnitzer stuffs, it can go lowerbased on the number of guys getting in each item, the auto pedals -i've to talk to the guy.

1. Manual peadl -e36- 120 + $ 8 s/h
2. Manual +dead pead - e36- 200 + 13s/h
3. dead peadal only - $105 + 8 s/h
4. e-brake - 85 + $7 s/h may get it lower but need 5 0r more.

depending on the number of people i may be able to negotiate the price down but dont expect much

the auto pedals -- only 2 takers so far - need more.

btw. bavarian sells these stuff for over $500/- which includes ebrake so i think we r getting a good price,

please post only once and if u have comment post on the other thread or please send an email to deepak2036@hotmail.com

someone needs to help me with this method of payment crap, cos this is my first group purchase

I would be interested in the complete manual pedal set (including dead pedal) and E-brake handle. Let me know.

Also, would shipping be less for ordering all the pieces together?

the best price i could find for the shift knob is $94.99 + $5 s/h , i cant get it below that and also there r only 3 guys interested in it including me,

metod of payment suggestions(please give ur suggestions too):-
1. paypal
2. personal check(would have to wait till clearing)
3. no cards cos i have no way of processing it
4. cashiers check or money order

guys getting all the items or a combination of the items could get cheaper shipping.

I'm working on the auto pedal to get it down to the price of manual pedals

I am in for for the set of pedals + dead + e-brake.

is it possible to get as good a price on the shift knob ? I'd be very interested in that too !!

Injun///M3
08-18-2001, 07:34 PM
so far signed up

1. manual ped - 3
2. auto -2
3. dead - 6
4. e-brake -8
5. shift knob -1

need 2 more to sign up fo the e-brake and we could all get it for
$85/- +s/h(never thought we could get 10 people). last sign up date for e-brake is begining of next week.

those ordering other items would have to wait we @ least need 5 people, i cant order dead pedal by itself, cos i'm getting a better deal ordering all @ one time.

Please email me @ deepak2036@hotmail.com
to sign up here or post in this message thread.

allrighty, looks like we have 10 guys on the ebrake, I think i could order them monday and the price would be $91/- shipped(UPS), i am using a $6/- shipping anywhere in the US, (some i guess is paying more and some less,i guess it'll even out)

those who want to send money thru paypal can do so, send it to deepak2036@hotmail.com but i'd rather u sent me personal checks or cashiers check, cos i have to pay stupid paypal for transactions and that will drive the cost up
or those sending thru paypall add a couple of bucks to cover it.
I'll wait till monday to see if anyone else signs up for the ebrake

Mmm... dont mean to be a complete pain in the ass here... but I guess now is as good a time as any too ask?!?!

I have been interested in a few of these Group Purchases, but because I live in Australia, mmm, well not sure how Shipping/Delivery/P&H would work? Any information regarding if thats actually possible and the prices would be really great...cheers!!

Btw... this one has really caught my eye, because, as listed in the other thread... I am really really interested in:

-- Auto Pedals
-- E-Brake

Cheers

Alright, here r some of the issues, u need to send me funds thru paypal for the appropriate amount in USD
1. the e-brake is $84 US dollars
2. Auto pedals is $120 USD if i/we get 5 people else $135 USD, right now we have 4 signed up, hopefully we may get couple of more people.
3. S&H - I've no idea what that would be, my best guess with insurance would be around $25- $30 USD for both items.

4. the time it would take for u to get it would be around 3-4 weeks and i dont know if there is any custom/tax involved, so make sure u check all this out.

So the total may add up to around $211(including money i've to pay for using paypal crap?) + $25 - $30 USD for postage(I'll send u back the difference if it is less), so think about it and let me know ASAP

hey, those sending money thru paypal dont forget to send me an email after u do so and also make sure u write u r bimmerforums.org user ID in u r email, i am receiveing money from some of u, but i have no idea who they are :)

Injun///M3

The part number is ACS EBHC for e-brake and ACS SKC for the shift know, theyu r matching e-brake and shift knob, in brushed chrome or aluiminum, look @ the other thread and gulliremo has posted a picture of the e-brake, the shift knob says "ACSchnitzer short shift" on top of the knob, i couldn't find a good site where u could see a photo of the knob other than goto WWW.BAVAUTO.com and goto interiors and find the shift knob there or goto http://easebuy.nstemp.com/photo.html , the photo is pretty blurred,

Those who have not sent me the payment please do so, so far i've only received confirmation from 6 guys for the e-brake and 4 on the shift knob, guys dont leave me hanging on a limb here, cos i cant buy less than 10 e-brake to get the deal and i'd hate to sit over here and sell this stuff on ebay.

Man this GP stuff is tough, although we would save some money

got the shift knob today..that was damn fast..:) Thanks Injun!!! Not really sure about how to attach it though...has anyone else gotten theirs yet and put it on?? how far down the lever did you attach it??

Injun///M3
08-27-2001, 11:09 PM
Hi guillermo and others trying to attach the shift knob and pedals.

Installation instruction on shift knob:-

1. put the shifter to second gear
2. use a lil knife and pry out the M or /// insert - the black insert on top of u r current shift knob, i.e if its BMW shift knob
3. use phillips screw driver and remove the screw(i hope u figured out to screw or get screwed so unscrewing shouldn't be a problem :)
4. now tug the shift knob towards u, sitting in the drivers seat
(dont worry u wont hurt it, but if the transmission comes thru the floor board u just pulled too hard :))
5. insert the ACS shift knob, u have 3 allen screws and u also get and allen wrench(guys who ordered e-braake dont get this - i dont know why ?)
6. position the shift knob iin the groove on the shifter. and tighten the nut(make sure u go in circles tightening a lil at a time, so u wont go through on one side)
7. and wallah the shift knob is secured

btw, guys this shift knob is heavier than our BMW ones and guess what the shifting seems to be just a lil easier and also it looks like my M is now ready to take on some supped up supra :)

I heard the manual pedals are a bitch to install,
anyway, looks like we need a drill, so guys forget screwing and learn how to drill :)

Guillermo
08-27-2001, 11:15 PM
In the groove?? Could you explain a little more??.. ..I screwed it in to where I thought it would be secure (tightened the hexes until the wrench just slipped rather than tighten anymore)...but after a little spirited driving, it was already coming loose..:( I know I'm a moron - this should be easier than it is..but would appreciate some more advice.

Thanks!

Thanks!

i hope u didn't screw up the darn allen nuts, if so u might have to get some from home depot, hope u didn't

anyway, if u have an e36 M then u should see a circuar groove @ the bottom of the stick shift, right above where the boot ends. if u have other e36, i wouldn't know how u r shifter is

in any case the key is to make sure u tighten the three allen screws provided in the ACS kit aprrox the same number of turns, or else u'd do what u just did
FYI, these allen screws are lot harder than the material the shifter is made of so they dig into the shifter material, what i'd do is tighten the screws , wiggle it a lil and then tighten some more and u should be fine, btw forgot to tell u throw that allen wrench ACS provided and get a longer one, hopefully one that attaches to a screw driver, u should be able to tighten it a lil more than with that lil POS ACS provides u with, if u still cant get it to fit
HMMMMMMMMMMMM. get on ebay and u can sell for for $150, u can always find morons to buy it from u :), just kiddin man u'd be alright, just try and see, or else we can find some way to fit that sucker in :)

Injun///M3
08-28-2001, 10:59 AM
Installing ACS e-brake:-

1. pull the leather boot that's on the hand brake, it has two tabs one towards the front and one in the back, it should be easy
2. pull the boot over the hand brake and u'll see a ty-wrap
3. slide the ty-wrap down, it should come off easily
4. pull the existing ebrake out, it should come out easily
5. insert the ACS e-brake, align it, (when u do so the ACS logo should be under where u cant see it :) -just kiddin)
6. ok one allen screw would point under the e-brake and two would point side ways.
7. make sure the bottom one is loose and then tighten the top two. so its flush with the e-brake, now tighten the bottom screw
8. Now this is optional - pull the boot over the e-brake and usea ty-wrap to secure the boot on the e-brake handle - u dont need to do it, idid it cos i had a ty-wrap handy

there u go this should be an easy job
let me know if u have trouble and please dont go to u r mechanic to install the e-brake :) :D  :128:

Injun///M3

yes i got u r payment deez,
btw, every one has come thru, glad.

Most of the ACS stuffs have been mailed. I've not sent email to individuals - if u need u r USPS tracking number let me know, i'm tired of typing those zillion numbers :)

M3 racer - mherrera, and crowyn i need u r shipping address and ,
ultim - i've shipped everything 2 u except the dead pedal, it was backordered , will ship it friday every body else that i've not mentioned in particular should be getting the ACS stuff by friday.
all the other that received e-brake, shift knob i hope everything is fine, if u haven't received it by now, please let me know.

I'll post the installation instruction as soon as i get mine put on, i heard ACS manual pedals r a bitch to install.

BTW, the dead pedals dont come with hardware, i dont think u need any(thinking about it u may have to drill hole in the floor to hook it up, i think it just fit on ), guillerrimo can shed some light on this. sergio i've checked u r' and other's orders to make sure they r not defective.
