well i graduated from uti.. actually nti in mooresville, nc but same core program. all i have to say is that probably more than half of the techs at global, including the shop foreman went to and graduated from uti.. most went to step.. and we are the most profitable bmw service center in the southeast. i would say that says something about the school. not putting down any other school but the step program is where you need to be and uti is the best place to get you there.

the only uti grads i had in my shop got fired, but maybe that was just the area...

pittsburgh is great, but most people say its too boring and nothing to do, ya just gotta find the places to hang out. cost of living is cheap as hell, so when i retire from the navy im headed back there...

so you work at global?

is there a tech there named james whitaker? i think he went to work for global... not positive though

and as far as UTI, it's a good school, but it is not the only way into STEP, i went to a different school in connecticut, and still went to STEP at a UTI campus

true its not the only way into step but it really is the best. i think i heard a number one time that said that 90% of step students went to a uti campus. may be wrong tho im not sure exactly what it does. uh.. i know a couple guys named james but i dont know their last names. lol. i havent been there for very long so i dont know for sure.

i would believe those numbers, i was the only person in my STEP class to not go to UTI.. but i tend to think it is more because UTI, and the reps know about the program of course, and tell the students all about it, at the school i went to, before i went there, they had never heard of it.. the only reason i knew about it was because of the UTI rep talking about it in high school, and that's what i had my heart set on from the get-go, so i had to figure out who to contact, and do all the work myself
