Does anyone know what the stk injectors specs are???
flow rate and all that good stuff.
Maybe up to what power they can support.

For efficiency, you will like the Bosch Design III though. Also, For what i think your trying to do, Don't let anyone tell you a M73 engine is better, for High compression set ups the M73 is great, At stock it's awesome too, When it come to forced induction, You have what it takes! Unless your going to spend a lot..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$ smokum 11-16-2008, 02:59 AM Well since you can read minds what im considering or thinking about any way is if one get larger injectors put on how large can you go untill the ecu says OH OH too much fuel, and causes head aches or is it just better to find a stand alone injector set up that varies on boost control , which is what im thinking is the way to go now that you say low flow on stk injectors. 8eights 11-16-2008, 03:27 AM IMHO! I would only go based on what has been done already, Lots of testing has been done and if your goal is a certain and already achieved HP, Simply follow someone's foot steps, It's a lot cheaper! What i've noticed in the last 5 years with these cars is that, Someone will say i'm going to build my own 500 or + Horse power SC or Turbo engine and we rarely here of the engine again, There's been one Dual SC set up that was giving great updates with Two Huge SC's, putting out a wopping 350HP Lol!!! He should be getting atlease 450 Decide on Hp needed Locate a build sheet of the engine or one similar, That works and copy there fuel supply, I say fuel supply because there's a lot more to it than injectors. smokum 11-16-2008, 03:39 AM 10-4 I see what your saying man these injectors are way small. http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/injectors/technical/flow-calculator.html Tonn 11-16-2008, 07:21 AM ...if one get larger injectors put on how large can you go untill the ecu says OH OH too much fuel... You`re going FI with stock ECU? JimmyBones 11-16-2008, 11:01 AM You`re going FI with stock ECU? Come on I would hope not if he wants to not blow up the car.:nono smokum 11-16-2008, 03:16 PM If you dont know what we are chatin about dont throwin in dopy comments, thank you 8) You`re going FI with stock ECU? Come on I would hope not if he wants to not blow up (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=14726749&posted=1#) the car.:nono Back on the subject i think woke would know as far as what the stock in jectors are capable of putting out...70 50 80% duty cycle WOKE you out there? 8Tech 11-16-2008, 06:53 PM Well since you can read minds what im considering or thinking about any way is if one get larger injectors put on how large can you go untill the ecu says OH OH too much fuel, and causes head aches or is it just better to find a stand alone injector set up that varies on boost control , which is what im thinking is the way to go now that you say low flow on stk injectors. Stock ECU should handle 24Lb injectors. smokum 11-16-2008, 11:14 PM 10-4 I see what your saying man these injectors are way small. http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/injectors/technical/flow-calculator.html Judging by this calculator that only yealds 460hp with those injectors, If you wanting 600hp what route would you take? Upgrade injectors? You could only raise fuel pressure soo far and get min results, or some sort of stand alone device with a couple injectors? pinned 11-16-2008, 11:43 PM If you increase your fuel rail pressure you can handle 550 HP with 19# injectors, it just depends on what numbers you punch in....................Dinan increased fuel PSI on their turbo cars and hit 500+ pretty easily. 600 HP = 24.63# injectors @ 70PSI rail. |
