Actually, I was thinking how much I like having the engine in the front after seeing that. Extra crumple zone plus you don't have all that mass behind you pushing you even closer to the pole.

Now, for people looking for a ferrari engine it is definitely a good thing ;)

No you will just have engine that comes thru the firewall and is setting in your lap.

There's one fatal flaw with hoping that your engine will provide a good crumple zone: engines don't crumple :eek:

For some reason I highly doubt an engine will go through the firewall.. firewalls are pretty thick, and an engine is not a very sharp object for most part to go through..

The firewall isn't that thick, the engine has alot of mass behind it. A high school classmate was killed when his engine came to rest on his chest after the impact (and he was driving some heavy American Iron where the steel was really "thick").

Lost someone I knew this way also, they were driving a '70 Nova SS.
