 HAPPY FOURTH EVERYONE!

So how did you spend your day?

I was on this board as you can see, but also taking wall paper off the bathroom wall, and making runs to Home Depot and Lowes. The wife is in the home improvement mode, while I'm in the car improvement mode.

Painting my brake calipers tonight, mahalo Beastmaster for your jack and stands. Also doing a BBQ for the family, have a few buds, and my day is done.

Keep the rubber side down!

the 4th was a lucky day for us :)

going to town we had zero traffic. nada. pulled up to ward theaters (we usually park by jamba, but this day we decided what the hell, so we tried the parking structure). as soon as we got there, somebody was pulling out, didn't even have to hunt for parking :) :)

ate lunch at D&B, i had tilapia (they call it louisiana paneed fish). very good. :rryum: went to see 28 days after at the theater. no line.

we went home to let the dog out. again, no traffic. came back to town in the acura to see the ala moana fireworks. no traffic coming back to town either (this is getting eerie).

ala moana is jam packed, but as soon as we arrive, somebody is leaving, and i didn't even have to stop to hunt for parking. :)

ate dinner at don don (it was pretty bad) :icon15:

then we got good curbside seats on the makai side of sears. the fireworks show was pretty long, 20-25 minutes.

Wow! Sounds like you had a good 4th!
Just being able to travel the roads without any traffic is good enough for me.
Talapia huh? I don't think I'd eat that. I guess it's because when I was young, no younger, I'm still young, we would catch those fish in the river and they were like scavenger fish. If it was salt water talap, I guess it would be okay, but then crabs are scavengers, too and I love crab!
I got some fireworks display on Thursday in Kalama valley, the hill side was on fire!
Thanks for the update on Don Ho's, I was wondering how that place is.
Desmobob, coming out to the Aloha 500?
Don't forget the tech session at BME.

oh hahaha i didn't mean don ho :stickoutt

don don is that donburi place in makai market. i had the unagi-don, which i usually love, but this one tasted strange. gf had tonkatsu curry, but the tonkatsu was really "stringy," like it was full of tendons (tendon, not ten-don :D )
