My impatience led to a mishap today while I was trying
to 'refasten' an aftermarket sideskirt to my car, it was on the car, but just not very 'tight'. Instead of using my brain, I went to home depot to pickup some 'Liquid Nails' to glue the sideskirt back into place securely .. this worked somewhat, in fact most of the sideskirt sits flush against the car, only one section, about 6 inches, is coming away slightly which allows you to see down into all the liquid nail ..

I was wondering what I could/should do to correct the problem .. do I get more adhesive just to secure that last part ? If so what kind is best to use? Or should I start from scratch, remove the skirt and install new fasteners ( if that is an option ) and where can I get replacement fasteners ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

man I thought someone would have chimed in ..
the boys over at roadfly.org helped me out .. I just
needed the clips .. $7 at the dealer .. for 16 clip pieces ... everythings great now

so if you ever have skirt problems .. skirt clips will solve them!

Hey, how you install the sideskirts? Any write-ups? TIA.

I don't know how to install them, the holes were predrilled
and these little green circular inserts were put in each hole so that when the retaining clip was inserted, the fit would 'snap' and be snug, I just aligned the plastic retaining clips along the backside of the skirt ( there are grooves in the backside of the skirt allowing you to snap the retaining clips on ) you then slide the retaining clips to match the holes and from the bottom you push up and snap all the clips into their respective holes and then screw the skirt from the bottom into the underside of hte car ( there are screw holes ) and everything fit nice and snug

Cool. I'm looking to get sideskirts for my 325i. I just don't know how hard it will be to install them. :)

Thanks for the info. I guess I have to see them in person.
