Car started fine this morning. Came out during lunch and nothing.

Here's the deal:
- I have plenty of juice
- All dash lights, interior lights, all work fine and are nice and bright
- Turn the key to start and NOTHING happens, no noise, no click, no dimming of the dash lights, nothing at all happens.

I checked fuses - couldn't find anything - I checked the physical operation of the clutch switch - it seems fine - I even tried starting it with the clutch switch manually pushed in incase the clutch pedal was not hitting it correctly.

Any ideas? I have not been able to get up underneath the car yet - and am hoping to get some advice before I do.

Thanks in advance!

I know it might sound stupid but any chance of a bump sart? I had 2 starters go in boats this weekend. Usually it'll at least crank unless the starter's toasted.

Please don't say that it's an auto & it's in "D".

Ha - Ha

No - it's a 5spd - hence checking the clutch switch comment

Ok guys - I went back to check on the car... guess what - started right up?

What is the deal with that? It would not do ANYTHING earlier - and now it starts everytime - even tried all the keys - it's all good.

Any ideas to help prevent this in the future?

Thanks

sounds to me you better get a new starter, the connections might be bad.
