I have been getting a brief flicker (on then off) of "check engine " light.
Most consistently happens @ about 3k in 3rd rounding a corner.
Sometimes it will go for 2 sec. in the first AM.
Just a brief flash on-off.
I've read that "high compression" engines can cause knock sensor to be moody. My comp #'s:
1-175
2-181
3-183
4-180
5-178
6-180
These don't strike me as particularly high.
Car seems happy as a clam. 121k on the clock.
(please check sig for engine mods)
so- ideas/guesses?
Momentary oil starvation? (though I am not pulling high G's)
Anyone have this experience before?

when was the last time you did o2 sensors? Bmw recommends 100K.
