Well the just got put back together.........

She will be getting detailed in about an hour then I get the keys back.....

I need to order a couple of brackets for the bumper that I lost some how.:mad

The hood latching mechanisms need to be shortened so the hood will come down on the nose a little more....
I a month or so I will be welding in new bumper supports, since I dont like the way I shimmed and welded it. When it goes in for that the side marker on the passenger side will be filled in. Unless I get a 92-93 drivers fender so I can have the smoothed out look and flush mount the side markers in the moldings.

Other than that she is done...

hood getting painted?

Dude I was so torn. I came so close to having it painted like your hood.
FIRE & ICE it would have been a sick photo shoot.....

But since I have all this other CF stuff for it I decided to leave it CF. It does have 5 layers of clear though...The gloss is sooooooooo deep.

The good news is if I get tired of all my exposed CF I can just get it all painted. They gave me all the extra paint to hang on too in case I decide to paint other stuff.

The pic in your sig is so F*cking rad man. The paint looks like fire. All the metallics are so brilliant. I always stop and stare when you post in a thread.

Looks sweet. I recently had to replace my nosepanel and cf hood after someone backed into my car (then left without a note :shifty ). I had to put my stock hood back on, and have since been in the market for another cf one. I'm totally torn on putting more money into the hood. The candy coat looks sweet, but fuck, I'd cry if someone smashed that hood.

Get another CF hood now. :D Your car deserves one more that mine does thats for sure ;)

I met him last Saturday at the Ricky and Ronnie's Meet. I'll ask him about that hood, as I would def need a clear-coated one. I just don't know how I would pick it up. :az

U haul van to pick it up 19.99 + 0.49 a mile...

No it comes already drilled for latch and springs. All you need to do is shorten the stud part that is in the middle of the springs. The part that you can screw in on our to adjust how tight the hood sits on the nose panel....

Oh fuck it here's a pic....
http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n148/rc_m3/DDM%20contest/IMG_0509.jpg

You need to grind off the top of the bolt. The OE hood has holes behind that bolt so if it extends (to bring the hood closer to the nose panel) the bolt has some where to go. The CF hood does not have the hole so the bolt needs to be trimmed. THIS IS WHY MY HOOD IS ABOUT 1/2 inch tooo high on the nose panel.

Yeah the FRP or whatever that shit is called is solid right there. I am going to try a 1/2 in bit tomorrow hopefully that will be thick enough for the bolt to get thru. I'll keep you posted on what size bit I use so you will know when the time comes for you to do it.

Moar PICS..... Not MY bumper is not fully mounted at the wheel wells. I have the brackets that hold it in on order @ sterling BMW (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=14496728&posted=1#) in Newport Beach (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=14496728&posted=1#).

Also YES I know the passenger side corner is crooked.
It is broken and held on with a zip tie. My new one will be here saturday.

Lastly The passenger side fender is from a 92 and has no sidemarker. I kept it like that so I could decide if I like the smooth look or the side marker look. I have decided on the smooth look and have another fender for the drivers side on order.

First off, Thank you.

As far as painting the CF.... I am not too sure. I have a CF trunk on order. And I am going to do the sunroof in CF also....So the roof will be vinyled black when the sunroof gets put in. I am picking up my CF roof spoiler tomorrow. And I have a deal hopefully on another UUC CF adjustable rear spoiler...... off of an estoril car......

I guess I am leaning to keeping it all CF down the middle of the car..........

Only time will tell........ I would really like to do an Estoril Mixed with Clear candy coat on all the CF pieces...... I think that would be the shit.... But I have to wait untill I have all of the CF parts before I can even think of that. That would be a nightmare to color match.....

I don't understand the fascination with Roof Spoilers...I don't know the M3 numbers, but something that has always stuck in my head was a C&D test in the 80's of the Supra that came with a Roof Spoiler. When they removed it, they picked up something like 8mph on the top end....that is some serious drag. Oh well, to each their own!

I can rock the mic. I spit hot fiyah.

Dude,

I am so surprised that 15 motorcycle cops let us drive all over the grass in that park to take pictures but the Port Authority wanted to put us in jail for parking in the parking lot at his building.

LBPD motocycle's

I thought I was getting a ticket for sure when I went "ASC off"

:rofl

Port authority:
Yeah he was "puffy" to say the least.

He came off as Ex military to me. But you would know better than I would...

On my way home down PCH it was super foggy.

It takes "Pea Soup" fog to make you realize how shitty you headlights are aimed if they are aimed poorly.

I just realized that my drivers side headlight is pointed all the way to the passenger side of my car. It is the lamp that lights up all the signs.

I really need to stop being lazy and mount them correctly.

Maybe next week........

I manage a record label that owns an in house top of the line recording studio.

;)

I only know how to record basic stuff.

But our Rig does all the work for me. + I dont ever record paying artists. I just record my friends and my own projects.

I posses no "mastering skills" at all

really cool ..

Oh well, to each their own!

umm... that's kinda the point, it adds force pushing down/back at the back side of the car, just like a wing. lots of drag means it's obviously an effective location.

get the DDM ultra HD's and you will never need to upgrade.

then use your 30's inside the car and the trunk so you can see stuff. ;)

Drag does not always mean downforce...you should know that.....

And if it did in this case...really needed on the street? If if they did so well, why don't we see every coupe/sedan series running them.....I can tell you....Dirty air behind it, which means the trunk lip/spoiler/wing will not work as well.....

Dude, you've been to my work, you know what I work on right? I think Aero in my sleep! :D

After chasing Remo through the streets of Long Beach all weekend, I seriously think you should reconsider your stance on whether or not its necessary on the streets.

ASC/DSC off all the time when we get together and as many U-turns at intersections as possible. Seriously, I feel dirty after this weekend and should probably be in jail.
