SeanDub 10-21-2008, 03:12 PM Nak, your car looks WAY too much like 94is's. You two must work together on a telepathic level.

I absolutely love following faster drivers. It helps me figure out wtf I'm doing wrong, that is, if I can keep up long enough to learn a few corners. :rofl I'd much rather follow someone fast than someone slow that you want to just punt off of the track. :help I had a ton of fun in July at Buttonwillow playing cat and mouse with my friend in his e30. Sure, my car would walk him in the straights, but the awd with rcomps was entertaining as hell to watch through the turns. :eyecrazy

Depends on "Who" you have show you the ropes, most of the people in here just do DE's, but there are a few instructors that make a presence occasionally, myself included.
If you want the safest, best learning environment, pony up the extra money and only do BMWCCA schools for a little while.
SilverBeam 10-22-2008, 11:25 AM ^ Or Driving Concepts schools, most of the instructors are the same, but there are half the people there. In any case, good luck.
Every opener I've been familiar with has had a release of some sort which disconnects the door from the opener, so that the door can be opened manually.

Yeah, I think there's a release inside the garage, but I can't get in. I live in a triplex, and the garage is separate from the house, and there's only one way in. So tomorrow morning, someone is coming to get into my garage. I think he's going to have to get into the neighbors garage, and scale the wall into mine. :rofl

That only works if there's a door to get into the garage in the first place :eyecrazy

No, I moved to LA. I'm not part of the 90025. :cool

Fair enough, although my experience with both attached and detached garages, they've always had a way in other than the big door for the cars.
So, apparently, My Mileage Did Vary. :)

A lot of detached garages i see at apartments only have the big door, usually incredibly narrow too

Yeah, it's pretty tight. I back down the driveway, carefully maneuver to the left, and back into the garage. I wouldn't trust very many people with that task with my car. :rofl

I did Laguna in the rain last November, that was plenty fun on bald RA1's. :help What tires did you end up running?
Btw, are you doing club racing now, or just running all of the stickers for fun?
I'd love to do club racing in mine one day, but I'd get killed in H-prepared. :shifty

Judging from the color of his wheel, KDW's?
If I remember correctly, unless he changed them up...
Orange K1's - Nt-01s
Black/Avus TA K1's- RE-01Rs
Green K1's - KDW's

For fun, but hes planning on doing it soon too... Wait till you see the stickers he has on the rear, you'd get a kick out it.

I did fine when it wasn't raining. Bald Advan Neova's dont make good rain tyres.

Jim Bassett 11-06-2008, 02:48 PM I did fine when it wasn't raining. Bald Advan Neova's dont make good rain tyres.
See there's the problem - one didn't need "rain" tires on Sat, one needed "monsoon" tires. Or better yet, pontoons :eyecrazy
Next best choice was Hoosier Wets, like my "A" student on Sat :cool
I'm not baller enough to have multiple sets of track tires. It's either PS2's or NT01's. :(
Edgemech 11-06-2008, 07:34 PM Jim, was your student the guy with the IP LTW M3?
[quote=motorsports321;14628564]hahaha.... still running on the same neova's from bmwcca race school?
No I ran NT-01's for the race school. My Neova's are my auto-xing tyres that have two seasons on them.

Yep. Mark did an excellent job, in frankly horrible conditions on Sat.
As did my "C" student, FWIW.
