So i have a 92 325is. and when driving it sounds like a noise coming from the rear of the car. not so mich a grinding noise, but sounds rough? i dunno how to describe it. sounds loud. not high pitched. I have snow tires on the car, could that do it? Any suggestions? Anyone in The Pawtucket/Providence RI area want to come hear it, let me know. I could use the help. thanks.

Snow tires would make a lot of noise... Does the sound increase with speed?

yeah it does. but levels out on the highway. maybe because they are getting warmer. I figured they were going to be noisey.

Well, if it's a constant, loud grumbling sound that increases with speed, it's probably a wheel bearing.

no it doesnt sound like a grumble. I mean its noticable. But a wheel bearing is usually a sound from one side or the other. this is from the back of the car. sounds equally shitty from both sides of the car.
