I was driving up rt 4 today on my way to ccri and saw what looked like a black e30 rolled over by an on ramp with a blue modified golf pulled over right next to it surrounded by 5 cop cars and a bunch of ambulances. Looked like they had been racing or cruising or something when the bimmer flipped a few times the roof was completely indented into the cabin . I hope it wasnt anyone on this forum and that everone is alright

Impossible, E30s are glued to the Earth.

the driver in the e30 must have been a bad driver and was losing to a vw so the e30 sacrificed his life for other e30s

Wow, the car is flattened. He is a lucky man.

Just curious, was he wearing a seatbelt? It looks like the passenger side got crumpled more.

yes he was

Good to know.

Was his buddy in the R32 right behind him? That must have been a scary thing to see your friend violently flipping over.

Edit: I just read that he saw him in the rear view mirror.

my friend in his 4.8is said about a month ago a black e34 with a roof rack spun out on a ramp in front of him at the Weston toll area, luckily it didn't end in a story like this.

I hate to say it but if the car ran upside down (which by the looks of it is quite possible) then I doubt there is much to salvage.

Once again I wish him a speedy recovery. I doubt I just told you something you didn't know but I still felt the need to save you the trouble.

:dunno

:eek:OH SHIT! i just realized mine was on RT4-N a couple miles from the newport exit

same road..... creepy, if these things do come in 3's craig i think it prefers early 90's bimmers (mine 92' 3, josh 93' 5) so a 94 7 is next
thats terrible. I remember when I totaled one of my cars. I was scared when I got back behind the wheel afterwards. Now, my driving style is much different (for the better). same i hate driving next to pick-ups with the 4 wheels on the rear axel now they scare me, a silver one sideswiped me and kept going as i went into the trees (RIP little blue 325i :() never got the bastard

pennpen
10-17-2008, 03:45 AM
wait you totaled your old e46 craig, so if its a 3 were safe?

EDIT- i checked to see where mine happened and it was rt1-n but only 2 miles from where it turns into rt4-n, so same thing basically

joshp9332
10-17-2008, 10:17 AM
yeah... bimmers are 100% safe... if you couldn't tell from the looks of my car and the damage done to my body. h/o i got a pic..

see im fine... lmao but seriously... i was lucky that fuckin car saved my life... drive safe people... you never know when something bad can happen. i still can't remember what happened.

bmws are very loyal, as long as maintained they will last through rough driving, and protect the driver in situations such as this. talk about personifying an inanimate object!
