I sure like the plumbing, If i do another fuel line it will be with similar aircraft lines and and fittings, no more poor design.

i would drive that thing to work everyday and drift every chance i get......very nice build!

That Wagenstetter car was the inspiration to my project! i did not find any other E31 racecar in the web...
I don`t understand Germany so i have to write in English. (not very good either:)
i am going to make English version of my homepages so people could find pictures and videos easier.

I am building new engine to next season and horsepower target is between 550-600hp and 700+nm and car weights about 1200kg with driver! i hope i can win some races in next summer:)

Martin has/had several sponsor, just look at the pictures, but the current problem is the damaged 2008 engine. € 30.000,- for the 560HP-M5-maschine of Matthes and as he didn´t finish the 24-hour-race at the Nürburgring again(in 2006 it was the transmission that made probs, last year they didn´t start) the sponsors won´t fall from out of the sky. Should phone to him about the status quo. He´s a painterman and puts lots of his own money in this project...

I´ve got no informations about Tonis sponsors.

My name is Toni and i am builder /driver of that 828...

My car is build to Finnish race car series named Super Saloon.
Rules are very free!

My car weights now 1127kg/ 2480lbs without driver.
All chassis panels are classfiber exept roof.
Firewall is moved back about 20cm and all cylinders are behind front axle line (for better weight distribution)

This summer engine was completely stock alublock M52 328 engine With Rotrex C38-81 supercharger and Euro M3 throtlebodies.
used chargepressure is 0.5-0.8bar/ 7.5-12 psi

I am building full race engine to next summer and horsepower target is 550-600hp/700+nm (516lb/ft)

Transmission: M3 3.2 ZF
Diff: Stock M3 3.2 LSD

Wheels and tires:
Front BBS 3-piece race wheels magnesium centers 18"x10.5" 285/645/18 tires
Rear BBS 3-piece race wheels magnesiun centers 18"x12" 300/650/18 tires

Front brakes: Alcon 6-piston monoblocks
discs: Alcon 368mm/28mm

Rear brakes: Alcon B-type
discs: Alcon 328mm/28mm

Suspension: JRZ/H&R

Engine management: DTA P8PRO
Dash/ datalogger AIM PISTA

Would you know what is the current weight distribution? The e31 understeering is probably a toe and swaybar "issue" but I suppose weight ditribution plays a role there... though there`s probably not too much e31 running gear left in your car..

Here is the weighting result:

Front left. Front right
348.5kg___ 310.5kg


Rear left. Rear right
286kg___ 286.5kg

Weights are with Driver (me) inside the car

My front springs are 200kg/cm 1110 lbs/in (too stiff)
rear springs are 100kg/cm 558lb/in

I now use 850i original front stabilizer bar, but it is gonna chance for next summer to adjustable version.
i don`t use rear stabilizer.

At the end off season i tested with softer front springs (782lb/in) and car feeled better (not sure because weather vas very cold)

I have to do more testing...

Almost 6 month`s from last update in my homepages...

New race season is starting soon but i have to pass first race:(
Rotrex is leaking oil and i don`t have spare parts.

New engine is almost ready!
This engine is for testing and horsepower target is about 400+ hp
i want to test if the aluminium block will survive in that power level.

Updates in my homepages is coming after first test drives in next month!

I have raced two races and won both!

Actually my new engine is 2.5L !

The plan was make car as light as possible and then put biggest engine what rules allow.

car weights now about 1130kg and with driver and fuel weight is about 1250kg
Minimum weight with driver is 1237kg so the car is in optimum weight.

Front axle weight 660kg
rear axle weight 590kg

and my first race was sixth of august 2008!

i literally lived in my garage all that time...
Car is "one mans project" (someone called me crazy!)

and i am a salesmann in local household store! so i have to go work in five days a week...

This engine came out of my damaged 330ci.Which was the the fastest 330ci in britain, you can check this with simpsons motorsport who fitted it. The engine gives you 450 bhp, 520nm torque,and 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds, which puts you into supercar territory. It eats M3s,check this on y tube. It has forged lower compression ess pistons,larger injectors,m3 fuel pump ess camshafts, along with exhaust headers, and sachs high performance clutch. this information can be seen on ca automotive web site.All this and getting over 35 mpg. I will sell this engine for the nearest offer to £5,000 I get.
