There's a wiring harness which runs under the Cabin filter holder, That wiring harness has a metal strip attached by tie straps to the harness, The heat brittled the tie straps and i caught the metal just moving around, My question is does the metal go in front of the wires shielding engine heat? Which would put the harness lying against the firewall with the shield in front! Or does the shield ly against the firewall with the harness in front? Which puts the harness directly in heats pass, Thanks in advance!

The metal shield sit on the harness to protect from the Cabin Filter housing, to keep it from rubbing through the wires.

So the shield rests against the firewall?

I can't believe the harness just sits right behind the engine like that, That's a bunch of heat, Gotta find something to ad protection, Thanks!
