i never had that many cuts, scrapes and bruises, than from working on this car
it's like i am getting punished for working on it.
and bolts and tools never fall through, they always dissapear somewhere.
it's like a big black hole down that engine bay.
:( just ranting and wondering... am i the only one that happens to???

i just bought the car and did the heater core bypass,i was really discouraged until i figured out the hvac filter housing can be removed with simply two bolts.it was tight, and i did draw blood but the job went perfect without any collateral damage.BMW really does design their cars to be serviced/repaired.you are correct that the engine compartment is tight.im doing the serpentine belts this morning.im thinking this will be one of my favorite cars of all time.

its a great car, but BMW really messed up on it, first of all it should have been 48 valves, secondly, it should have been at least 6.0 or 7.0 V12 or maybe the project goldfish engine that was a V16
And finally, it should have been made with twin turbo's
And P.S. the zeemax widebody style should have been oen as with the alpina hood

Its all worth it when you drive by and get compliments. No pain, no gain! I will go to war for the E31.
