That's not that bad of a deal is it? Although, I guess that price is a bit..ridiculous. That's just the buy it now price, though. I wonder what it'll go for.

The paint is impeccible, the leather looks crack free...everything is spotless..looks like it's had some upgrades and has been well maintained and has low mileage.

This car has been on Ebay for the past 3 years and never sells. It is a plain-jane 850 with some cosmetics. You would be far better off buying the "real" CSi that is on ebay right now (currently around $30K). The $56,000 price tag is about $40,000 too much. This guy just likes listing this car so other people can see he has it - no intention of selling. On a side note, just about every single rubber hose, gasket, seal and most all plastic parts that are found under the hood will need attention. Low mileage cars are tough on the rubber and gaskets. Having just restored mine, i can tell you that those items are expensive and some aren't even available anymore.

(he does have a wicked Cadillac STS that will beat the pants off of any BMW - just ask him about it...)

I agree completely this guy is crazy! Who in their right mind would pay $56,000 for an 8 that is not a csi or an 860 and even then it better be a low low mileage example. Don't get me wrong it is a nice car but $56,000 ya right!

Just out of curiosity, why is this so?

I know somebody would say there is only 6 around the world ..........etc. but ,
I would love to know who came up with this 860 story? it's like somebody putting a 1.8 engine on a 7 and calling it 718....

the lubrication is missing.
rubber and gaskets will dry out, when they just sit.

Yeah this true, I had to change a lot when I bought my 850 when I bought it it has 32k and was sitting for three years nearly just before I bought it.

There are a few guys like that around here and they have for sale signs in the windows because their wives want them to sell the car. But by asking so much it lets them keep the car but you don't think the wife will figure that out someday?:dunno
