Does anyone know of a place that can either lengthen my current driveshaft or build a custom one in the northern NJ area for relatively cheap? I need one for the 6spd swap I'm doing.
Thanks in advance.

dont u usually shorten the driveshaft? i had to shorten mine for my 6 speed. i ended up just using the auto trans driveshaft since it was same size.

Must have been different for you. According to realoem (and several people who have done the swap), the driveshaft must be made longer from the center bearing to the trans.

i see. that sucks. you should see if you can find out if a driveshaft out of another car will work.

Yeah, but I have no clue on where I'd find one that'd fit my car exactly. E39 shafts are out of the question because I have the long wheelbase, and no E38 ever had the length driveshaft I need (even in Europe: no long wheelbase 7's were given a manual trans).
I don't have a huge problem getting mine modified, I've heard of people getting theirs done for <$100
