i'm about an hour and 15min from marietta, though in typical traffic... i may use your friend as a backup plan if i can't find one closer. i'm in lilburn. thanks again-

hey this is amir on ali's account...but i just wanted to let you know that if u know it was for the o2 sensor then you can just pull ur negative battery cable for 30 minutes and reconnect and it will reset your ecu...just make sure you have the code to ur radio so u can enter it ;)

thanks, amir and jonathan-

amir, i'm not sure that disconnecting the battery will help. i tried it last week while i changed my rsm's, and the light stays on. my batt was disconnected at that time for over an hour.

my understanding is that when fault codes from the engine on obd2 cars come up and trigger the light, they remain in memory even after the problem is fixed. i have also read that on obd2 cars, if no fault is detected after 3 'trips' in your car, the light will go out, but the fault will still be stored in memory.

maybe resetting the ecu works for the '95's, though, since they are obd1?

I have one also, I'm in Alpharetta.

my light is now off. evidently, what i read was true regarding the 3 'trips' with no fault codes. i'll still need to erase the stored codes, though.

thanks for your reply, atl3... i'll let you know my other options don't work out.

Will the Peake tool work for it?

no, you have to have an srs specific one to reset that stuff, unfortunately.
