Are any of you E30M3 driver's running HIOP CPs?

My son has an '88 and we are looking for camber plates to match up with his recently installed Ground Control/Koni SA setup. We did not have the struts modified and are looking for a CP that would allow more travel than the stock strut bearing allows.

The HIOP CPs are said to have less NVH than others.

Ground Control CPs were considered but supposebly bind at full steering lock.

Anyone have a favorite CP that they would recommend for a street/track setup?

TIA...Gene

The Ground Control camber plates do not bind, but the GC springs will make some noise while turning the steering wheel unless they are lubed or tied down, but it isn't that big of a deal.

My cousin uses his for street/track duty with no problems. It is a little more harsh, but it is the best that you can get since your son has the GC springs allready on. I am running K-macs currently and they have good adjustability (the GC have more travel) but I have heard of them seperating from the bearing.

IMHO, the GC camber plates are the best ones out there for a E30, they work perfect, have a ton adjustment, they are also really well made!

They have a low stack hight, so you shoudl get some more travel out of them.

Are you running GC suspension? Because if your not, the camber plates won't work......

Yeah, we've got the GC coilovers...everything is installed and working good.
