Anybody know if it's possible (if so, how??)
to remove the rear head rest on a 98 coupe???

They are really, really annoying. They cause such
a big blind spot.

Thanks!!

My experiences on a 4dr with non-fold down seats ( I was replacing a seat belt):

Yes it is possible and while many people recommend you just pull them very hard till you break the clips and yank them out it doesn't seem to me the best way. You really probably don't break them like some say but if you do it this way you will probably have the clips rattling around under your deck driving you NUTS.

Ok begin by pulling out the botton cushion. Just pull up and it comes right out. Next you have to take out your rear arm rest. Pull it up and out from the back. Now work your hand behind the back cushion of your rear seat (near the center is easiest) and work your hand towards the outside. Pull HARD and one side will pop out. Do the other side and lift your seat up and out of the bottom clips. Thread it around your seat belts and out of the car. Getting closer. At this point you can see the rear deck's mounting screws (plastic expansion screws). Loosen them and pull them out. Now I think (I did) you have to take off the back trim on the pillers to pull the back deck out. You MAY be able to lift the back deck high enough to see the metal clips holding the headrests in at this point. If you can get to them great - otherwise off with the trim. Gently pull them up and out - then disconnect the light. (They are a BIT*H to put back on-least so far on mine) The rear deck should be loose at this point and you can get at the clips. Pull them off (U-shaped) and pull out your headrest. Reverse and done. Makeing sure you get all the Slot As back in Tab Bs.

Easy huh.

Now that I have writers cramp I am going to go back to work.
Good luck.
