Well... I found out this Sunday that one of my door speakers surround is broken. I think the guys at the car washer screwed it up but I didn't find it at the moment because it was very dark.

Does anyone know what can I do to fix it? In the pic, I painted red the part of the surround that is missing. TIA

mine is broken 2. I seen onetime someone replaced it with chrome but i dont think it looked to good. Just get someone who is parting out to get the piece?

It will be very expensive to replace the 4 speakers with the chrome ones... It's not easy to find someone parting out his car where I live :(

I'm thinking of making myself 4 new speakers surrounds but I don't know how to do it. Any ideas?

speaker surrond is that foam thing b/t the cone and the metal frame. what you are referring to is the GRILL surround. that, my friend, is also MY problem. it didnt happen until i replaced the tweeters and i think it is because i tightened them in the door panels too hard, lol. FUCK! to get new grills requires getting whole new tweeters, or used ones. im about ready to upgrade, im sick of this crap.

Yeh, I'm referring to the grill surround, sorry. I know I need to replace the entire tweeter b/c I called up the dealer yesterday and they told me that and they told me that and they said a new speaker costs 270 bucks (in my currency, that's 95 dollars for you), no way I'm gonna pay that.

What tweeters are you getting?

Here it won't be easy to find some aftermarket tweeters that fit so I want to try to build a new surround (silver painted to match my interior) and glue it but I can't figure out how to do it. :help :help :help

I've got one cracked and one broken.

Post if you find a good place to buy them.

Thanks

I'm willing to make some new speakers surrounds b/c it will be cheaper than getting a new one. And a new one will get borken some day too so I want a permanent solution.

Please, some handy guy give me an idea on how to do it!
