Yes, they are worth it. They're very thirsty and very gentle on your paint. After using them for the first time, I wondered why I ever bothered with cotton terry towels.

I typically use two waffle weave towels to dry a midsize car.

Absolutely!!!! You will scratch your head for a long time as to how you ever even considered using a cotton towel on your paint. Drying a car has never been so easy! I use one for primary drying, then another for touching up drips and such. One would do the trick fine, but I'm anal like that!

Either from www.pakshak.com

or Tom Gong at JT International. ( jtintern@hotmail.com )

Ask for special autopia.org pricing

I'm more partial to Tom's towels!

I just got the Griots MF waffle towl and am not that impressed. Especially considering it cost $30.

I had better results with a synthetic chamois.

I do like that it is very gentile on the paint and does soak up a lot of water....but it does streak and leave spots that I have to go over with a finer MF towel.

I am going to try some of the less expensive alternatives mentioned in this area.

JT International towels rock. They're darn cheap and great quality! After using them I won't use anything else on my paint, period. I havn't use the waffleweave ones though, are they any better than the normal ones?

Waffle Weave are made for drying. They are more expensive but also more thirsty.

I bought two of the Griots MF #11117 and have had great results. I didnt get any streaking or spots. I did just performed a big detail job on the M3 a few weeks ago.

You may want to email Griots garage and see what they can do. If anything, they will credit you back when returning the MF towels.

Actually, good point Jon. I hadn't thought of that. Griot's is great at taking stuff back. I'd say return it and get another one, and if that doesn't work then get your money back. Or just get your money back straight away.

Or you could spend it on other Griot's stuff. SpeedShine is awesome!
