And wow.. they SUCK! :mad

full story:
i have these idiots calling me up every month telling me that i owe them money when i've never owned a credit card in my life. . So, just to see what the deal with them was, i used that web-site to get a report and sure enough it pulled them up.. but the web-site has a catch that after the 7 day trial is up they charge you $15 a month until you cancel.. so i try to cancel and they have nothin on the site to do so except for a number.. so i call the number and mention cancelling and each time i would mention cancelling, they would try to B.S. me into keeping the account and when i said "NO, i just want to cancel" they would hang up. .

I went through this like 5 times before i finally got some dude to cancel the account for me... They SUCK! and if i get a bill next month then that dude is gonna catch a swift kick in the nutz. . :nutz:

My advice to anyone thinking of using them. . is well, Dont unless you want a headache

End of Rant.

I agree, pieces of shit. I signed up for that a year or so ago and failed to read the terms and conditions. At the time it was a $12 dollar fee each month and i got charged and said the same thing as you. They continue to rip people off with their crappy service. I would recommend when you get a credit card to have the company watch your credit for you, its usually a small fee like a dollar each month and your company will actually listen to you.

That why those places are free, they have to get you some how. Anyone ever here of too good to be true... welp, that site is. I got my report from there. once I printed everything called and cancelled. Fine print boys, fine print...

Quite frankly, the free credit reports aren't worth a whole lot (that's why they're free). They don't give you the useful information you need like your scores and other things.

I can talk about credit all day. I sell mortgages as well as credit repair services (see my sig).

There are a lot of things you can do to have that removed (for free). By law, if you send them a letter asking for them to prove the debt is yours they much be able to provide proof. If they cannot, it must come off your record. The credit laws are very clear on this.

If you'd like help with a letter, pm me and I'll be glad to point you towards some form letters to help you out. Or we can chat about it the next time I see you.

Oh the irony, I was just sitting and wondering wtf CIC*TRIPLE ADVANTAGE charge on my CC was right before I saw this thread...

The rep offered "an exclusive offer to me as a valuable member" of $7.44/mo instead of $14.95! Yippie! I just needed my damn score in the first place (which they provided), but there really isn't a cancel button.
Also, the rep was unintelligible and sounded annoyed, after the third time I asked him "Could you repeat that again? I can't understand you!", he just about yelled into the phone! (haha)

EDIT: Not to pose as a "poor victim", it was kind of my fault actually to begin with seeing as I did read the terms etc and kind of forgot about it. In general though, that's a pretty annoying business practice - not to have a cancel button or anything like "view your payments", just kind of do it in stealth.

see, the thing is that i read the terms and kinda figured that i was going to cancel in the first place.. only they hung up on me a bunch of times when i mentioned cancelling... that kind of pissed me off a bit. .
