Will the 840 see 20+ mpg on the fwy at 75mph?

i have a 95 840.....dropped with 18" m-parallels on there...........i avg 20mpg...its my daily driver...with the stock wheels i would get 21-22mph......fwy i do 70-80mph....im pretty impressed with the mileage im getting....i was expecting 13-15mpg when i bought the car.

95 840 w/ M-parallels, and wokke chip. Daily driver w/ 167k miles. I get 17.8 around town and 22.8 on the hwy. Can't answer your question on whether you will get 20+ mpg on the fwy at 75 mph cuz I have never done that. :devillook

Not sure an 8 series is even able to cruise at 75 mph. I have heard it said that a local 95 840 is at a tick above 2500 rpm @ 80 mph....how could anyone cruise at 75 mph?

I get about 20-22 @75-80. But E31 cruising speed is 100-130.

If you can keep it at 70 or under you'll hit 26 mpg. Average of 80.2 over 409 miles hitting 120 mph I averaged 19.4 mpg.

I have a 94 840Ci I average about 25mpg on the highway @ ~70mph.. everything stock. This car seems to be optimized for 55 though. I get about 26-27 @55mph. However, get into town and you're looking more like 19-20.

Unlike my 528i where the faster I go the better gas mileage I get, up to about 85. Where I'm looking at about 35-37mpg...crazy

I am seeing 20-22 at 70-80, Hwy! At 60 Mph, I am seeing 22-26 Hwy!!

Also depends on the Slopes (Hills & Valley)!!
