What is/are the best one(s) within a reasonable distance from the city?

Splish Splash isn't bad. It's in Riverhead, LI about 2 hours outside of Manhattan.

Yeah, that's the first name that came to mind, but the reviews are just so-so. And who knows how long a normally 2hr drive will take on the LIE on a weekend in August...... so just trying to see what else is out there.

mountain creek shouldnt be that far away. also i mean if u want to make your money go a long way, than go to dorney park in Pennsylvania. One ticket gives access to both the waterpark and the amusement park. I used to go during daytime to waterpark and around 5 i would just go ride the roller coasters. best bang for your buck IMO.
