EDIT: I'M IN THE L.A AREA

I'm looking to repaint the M3 (lots of rock chips, and clear coat failure). There are enough blemishes for me to justify a full respray, so I'm shopping for body shops.

I want a good paint job, but don't want to break the bank.

Quotes I've gotten so far have ranged from $1400-$5600 :eyecrazy

Any recommendations? I will be removing all the windows and moldings/trim prior to handing the car over to the shop.

I'm in the Downey area near long beach, but am willing to travel an hour to the shop if need be.

Any recs? Hookups?

TIA

I'd take it to M1 autobody in El Monte. (http://www.m1autobody.com/) Talk to Raymond, he owns a BMW too. Or else you could try the place referenced in in this thread, but it's in Oxnard. (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13673275&postcount=1)

I had a bumper repaired at M1...good guys, but just fixing a crack and repainting was $600

Good work, but damn pricey.

I already called them, they quoted me ~$3.5-4.5k
