Turns out my passenger side seat Airbag sensor/pressure mat is faulty and needs replacing.

Has anyone ever done this on here, how did they do it, and what part did they order (number). I have sport seats, in a 1997 840 4.4.

It is listed here as Part#12, but does not appear in the list !!

Hope someone can help me. Along with my ASC problem I'm more than a little down beat today as you can imagine.

Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony, I havent replaced mine yet but that is exactly the fault that mine has! Passanger Ocupancy Sensor. Mine is puting the Air Bag Warning light on for two mins after start up, is that same as yours.

Is it the pad, or the connection? I've never had a problem with it personally, but a friend of mine had a problem with the connection being loose on his vehicle so a little dielectric grease in the connector and a reset seemed to help his issue.

Luko/Chuck, thanks for the replies. I had the seats out to be refurbished which put the light on in the first place, or so I thought. I've had the reset, but the light came back a few hours later, and then I've checked connections and had a further reset after which the light remained on. I didn't use any grease, so might be best to do that one, have one further reset, and see what happens before buying new parts !

Thanks for the advice.
