I WOULD do it, if I could afford it....

it is not just money that is needed here, alot of wiring and electronics "debugging".
There is one E31 that has had this successfully done, and if I remember correctly the conversion was over $20,000.

And there were still some bugs with that car.

I'd be concerned about what happened to the drivetrain in the accident. It obviously rolled the car, so who knows what is damaged.

Looks like it might be a little hard to get in the car to see if the engine would still fire... ;)

I certainly would not do it! That V10 is not a good engine, is unreliable and drinks fuel worse than a 20 year old V12.

You can supercharge a V8 for the fraction of the cost and turbocharge a V12 for more power, reliably and less money.

And you can buy a new engine for these at decent money.

So,

No thanks.:nono

It's got sissy Torque too! Civics and mazda's were spanking M5's in Irwindale last weekend. I think it's worth tareing down and building correctly though.

Turbo a V12? Who has done that and only for earlier V12 engines? I want a turbo...

i don't know about turbo charging a 11 year old engine.
it would have to be a very mild set up to not blow things out of the exhaust.

Try some 3.73 --- 4.11 ratio differential gears and say sayonara ...or Aufwiedersen actually !! You will notlose any top end , actually may gain some! and pull redline in top gear ,If your brave\insane enough to try it!

....still doesn't help in the fact that this "transplant" has been tried before (professionally) with some problems that are probably unsolved still.
