I had a red rag bleed on my carpet, I've tried everything to get it out. Whats the strongest, and best remover to get rid of it?

Folex Carpet Spot Remover.

Available at Home Depot and some other stores. Try Folex.com or something like that. I swear by this stuff.

Ben..... where the hell is Folex in Home Depot? Is it by the carpet or what? I was looking around kinda in a rush today for some but couldn't find any. :dunno

Yep, by the carpet...

Or you could just be a man and ASK! :)

Note that I was in a hurry... do you know how long it takes to find somebody who knows what the hell they're talking about in a place like that?

And guess what? I just did ask. ;)

HAHA. Biiiatch. Yeah I guess you did just ask didn't you...

But seriously I was going to say something about their floor service. Home Depot has THE WORST floor service in the world. I had to wait 30 minutes last time I was there because the only gallon bottles of Folex were on the top of the rack and they had to get a forklift thing to get them down and it just took forever.

That was like 3 weeks ago, and now my gallon is almost gone. *gulp*

You go through a gallon every 3 weeks? Damn man... thats impressive. I might try Lowe's instead... they seem to be a lot more on top of the whole "customer service" concept. :dunno

go to www.topoftheline.com and look under their two step stain removal system. It's pricey, but it will remove the stain. Also- Megs APC+ with a 9:1 dillution is good too.

I'm going to get it for this one, I know, but I swear this works. If nothing works try acetone (sp? nail polish remover ass-a-tone) BUT TRY A SMALL AREA FIRST! That stuff CAN be like beach to carpets, but not all. Like the carpets in my house have had some abuse. I've gotten dried on glue, ink, food spills of all shapes and sizes, and a mass nail polish spill out of carpets with it. With no damage, I might add. But still, try under the driver seat, in a place no one will see, just to make sure. This is if nothing else works too. Never just jump to the acetone.

You can also try Spotshot. It works great on carpets. My wife was so amazed she purposely poured red wine on our beige carpet to show her mother how good it is. No wine stains.
Just another option www.spotshot.com

Hppy clnng!

Acetone's a great organic solvant - it'll pretty much clean anything organic off. HOWEVER, it will etch/melt plastic. Do not use it on any plastic unless you intend on either glueing it to something or like having a white haze on it.

I found this out the hard way -- when I was like 12 I tried to clean the cordless phone with acetone. Oops. It took off the top layer of plastic, and then some.

I've just used Resolve Carpet cleaner--cheap, and available in the cleaning product isle in the grocery store. I had all sorts of mud and dirt and a bit of grease--they all came up. Just make sure you let it soak in long enough before the scrubbing the holy hell out of the area with a good, damp sponge.

But whatever the product, always test it under the driver's side floor mat to make sure of color fastness--especially with a dark interior.
