problem i have been having....

first start is fine, car does start a bit hard but then it always has due to timing etc. After shutting the car off after any amount of run time, the car will restart as soon as you turn the key for the next 10 mins or so. after that point it gets harder and harder to start. after 40 minutes with the car warm from running still the car will ONLY start with ether or by pop starting it.

I have replaced the accumulator and anti return valve, fuel filter has 5000 miles on it, cleaned the fuel distributor plunger and air valve, and cold start injector, and i swapped in the wur from my old motor.

There has to be something i am missing here. HALP!

What kind of pressure are you seeing in the fuel system?

Assuming my gauges are correct, system is 72psi and drops to 25 ps at rest which is where is supposed to be.

If you have a fuel system issue and need a new one I have one... Hell, I have an entire M10 that runs just fine if you would like a spare!

It is currently in a car and starts and runs... Used to drive until the tranny and driveshaft was removed yesterday...

Dick Shine used to be well versed in old K Jetronic. Not to many folks out there these days that want too. He is the owner or was the owner of SRS in Walpole, Mass.

Or find an old VW guy that remembers K/KE jetronic. I used tweakem 20 years ago but have dumped most of it. Sorry about that.

1.8 I believe US spec...

And you can have it 'cheap'.

I.e. I was going to pull it this week or next to replace it with an M40 that I happen to have sitting around...

I have seen the fuel system go on Ebay for $200 (last week) so as far as I'm concerned I'd take 200 obo for the entire motor just to get rid of it...
