I know that rumor was itsablurr had pressing work obligations and was unable to attend...

..but is it TRUE (what i'm hearing) that iamhydrogen, who was signed up to go, and had a ride leaving from his house at 11:30am, wouldn't wake up and ended up just SLEEPING through the whole damn thing???

It was a serously awesome day. We expected ADSS type stuff so to get on the track for a decent amount of time for free was really sweet.

What made it even better was I got to ride in the car w/ Kristin the whole time instead of an instructor. Made it really fun for both of us and allowed her to get a good feel of some potential car purchases as well as get her first time on the track!

Lol during the autox comparison the Lexus hands down had the nicest interior... but once we got into the 3 series her first words were "Holy S#$t this car is fun, are the Mroady's this fun? Now this is a drivers car!" Ahh my lady knows, looks like another BMW will be joining the Beale Driveway soon! :buttrock

It was a good time and the new Audi A4 is a contender. Love the free track time beating on some new cars. :) Now if only BMW can set something up similar at NHMS...

My last car which I sold to my oldest son was an "enhanced" Audi A6 2.7T. I had Dahlback Racing components under the hood, Eibach Pro Systems Suspension and H-Sport Sways under the car and BBS with meaty rubber on the corners. It was also a fun car. It will out handle my 540i even with the Sport Springs/Bilstein HD + M5 Sways. I think it's also faster to 60.

However, I really like my 540i as it has a V8. With the Racing Dynamics CAI and Eissenman Muffler it has a sound no Audi can make (except maybe an RS4 or RS6). I also like the RWD for every day and "spirited" driving. I only somewhat miss the AWD in the winter as I put Blizzaks on the 540 last winter and had only minimal issues.
