Evosport announces the release of their Power Pulley System for the new BMW M3, V8 S65

With a stock engine, horsepower (HP) is typically lost in the requirement to drive accessory pulleys (water pump, power steering, alternator, A/C). This parasitic loss can often be reduced by under-driving certain engine pulleys. For a number of years, Evosport has been a recognized leader in developing under-drive pulley systems that safely reduce this parasitic power loss in high-end European vehicles, resulting in measurable HP gains.
With its Power Pulley System for the new BMW V8 M3 producing a net gain of approximately 21 HP and 8 ft-lbs of torque on CA91 octane, Evosport has once again developed a superior product for performance-minded BMW M3 owners.

Pulley System features:
1. Custom-designed and engineered crankshaft pulley manufactured by evosport;
T-6061 billet aluminum, black anodized, laser-etched logo
2. Simple bolt-on design
3. Design does NOT modify or alter factory harmonics or dampening
4. Easily reversible
5. Includes replacement accessory belts and hardware
6.3-year warranty on craftsmanship

Wow... what sacrifices are being made? Will there be any problems for those that track their cars or those that are stuck in daily driving traffic jam nightmares?

Very nice Dale. We'll get it up on the site shortly. Your pulleys seem to be selling well for us lately :)

from my experiences in the japanese import tuning world, underdrive pulleys (crank pulley, powersteering, and/or alternator) didn't have any big effect on daily driving. some people have complained that an underdriven alternator pulley didn't supply enough power to charge their batteries when running large sound systems. however, on my car, i didn't have that problem.

Where is the 21HP claim coming from? Not trying to be rude, but your dyno says base is 349, while after is 367. 367-349=18. :dunno

The dyno shows rear wheel horsepower. The power number we give you is to the crank. So if you add 14% for the drivetrain loss you end up with 21
