It was the previous model convertible GT. We both got decent launches and I got about a car length ahead of him at 60 mph before we hit traffic. I understand that the convertibles are'nt that fast. I also hear other 325 owners smoking all sorts of modded mustang gt's. Should I have done better?

Mustang covertibles are maybe a tenth off of their hardtop brothers. BMW's are not as fortunate, as more safety equipment makes it into the BMW cabrios...You're looking at a 0-60 of around 6.7-6.8 for a ragtop Mustang....Sounds pretty decent to me if you're running a 325...I'd find it hard to believe that 325s are taking down mod'd Mustangs unless you consider a K&N drop in a mod. Those V8s take to well to bolt ons.
