I have read some reviews of the new USA-bound M3 and they all agree that there is some uncharacteristic understeer when the car is taken to the limit. This is both dissapointing and also reassuring (I own an E36 m3). Does anyone know if this is bogus? I would love to hear that there is some simple suspension tweak that will fix the understeer. Is bmw going soft even in the m3? Have you guys heard these rumors?

I probably read the same things you did, but I also remember somone saying that the understeer had something to do with the 19" wheels that were on the Euro examples that they could drive at the time. I'm pretty sure the US version gets 18" wheels, maybe with less meat in the rear.
