Well, the event from this passed Saturday went so well, and pulled such a large crowd, that they are having another one.

Saturday August 9th
5 bucks a person
Starts at 5:00 PM and goes until midnight
No tree, no time board, just line up and run
Anyone on a bike must wear full leathers
Must have an inspection sticker and plate
Must have DOT tires (no slicks)

Hey just bumping this to the top. This is happening on this Saturday. Starts around 6 PM. Last time we started at 5 and it was WAY too hot so we are shooting for a little bit later.
Friday I plan on going to the track just to get some updated time slips and see where I'm at. I MAY lower my 2-step by 100-200 RPM's just to try and dial out that little bit of wheel hop that I was getting. But, at the same time, I am worried about snapped CV shafts. Either that or I will just drop the tire pressure some and raise the 2-step some. Either way I WILL have some serious fun.
We need more of a Euro showing at these events. I know my car isn't set up for drag racing, but I will throw it into the mix, so don't make that the reason that you don't come out. It's just 5 bucks a person, even if you are going to make a pass or two.

I'm getting ready to go grab some lunch and then start doing some work on the car to get it ready for tonight. If anybody would like to meet up prior to the event, just shoot me a PM and I will give you details.

Yea, it was a LOT of fun. This is one of the better things that has happened, in this area, for those of us who go to car meets on a regular basis. Since we started doing this, last month, I MIGHT have seen 2-3 actual street races. Before we started doing this, it was normal to see anywhere between 3 and 15 street races on a Saturday night depending on weather and who showed up at the meets.
