And then you notice the Supra with its fancy carbon fiber hood. . . And complete lack of turbo. :help yea... that's bad for business. AuburnGrad323is 07-20-2008, 09:18 PM I think I saw your car. . . You paint the wheels gloss black? Yeah. I had just got them back from the powder coater last week. I was very pleased with them. I would have posted pics earlier, but the radiator broke the next day, and it was just sitting in the garage. E34 I loved your car in person. E34nication 07-20-2008, 11:51 PM Yeah. I had just got them back from the powder coater last week. I was very pleased with them. I would have posted pics earlier, but the radiator broke the next day, and it was just sitting in the garage. E34 I loved your car in person. thanks man... i was kind of surprised to see all of the new dents and paint going to hell on the hood after i pulled it out of my garage... it had been sitting in there for about a year and a half... some stuff fell on it... i had to climb over it a few times... guess i'll eventually get around to getting the body in better shape. black wheels looked very good on your car btw. Ced 07-28-2008, 05:24 PM Yo Chris!!! Wassup man??? We didn't see you out on Sunday. You were smart! It was so HOTTTT!!!! The other Kris asked where you were and even Bill???? I bet you watched on the tele while we suffered with heat stress! haha oh oh... here's that Boxter RS I referenced :) http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/06/16/first-drive-2008-porsche-boxster-rs-60-spyder/ and here are some clips from my latest run... Double click for higher quality... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8eisinUAXM E34nication 07-31-2008, 03:31 AM cool man... hadn't seen that boxster. I got out there kind of late on Sunday (noonish) and was there for about 2 hours before I left due to heat. There were so many people under the trees I knew there was no way I was going to be able to find you guys. Hopefully I can have my car ready for the fall DE. Great to meet all of you. Wow, you made it!!! Yeah it was so hot. Great meeting you too. That fall DE should be an awesome time to run your car. I plan to be there with the PBOC. Try to hit one of club fun runs from the calendar. Not sure which one I'm attending next. Bham has a bi monthly social dinner as do Huntsville. I'm sure you know the website for all the activities - www.albmwcca.org E34nication 07-31-2008, 02:02 PM yea I just want to work out a couple more issues before I get out there. Still not completely satisfied with the way the car's handling. I have checked out the site and I think I'm now on the mailing list. I'll definitely be in for some of the fun runs as long as I'm in town. Ced 07-31-2008, 02:39 PM yea I just want to work out a couple more issues before I get out there. I can show you where the Scene is. :D miklm 08-01-2008, 12:07 AM Hey guys, good to see some of you out there, I missed woky and madsedan though, but ran into ced, hank, cipher, and a few others. My brother was in town, we spent the majority of the weekend (all 3 days) in the paddock and the museum (air conditioning!) Hear they're adding 100,000 sq ft to the museum and making big plans for the motox track and possibly extending the road course also... Good things! It was too hot for comfort. :cool haxmire 08-01-2008, 03:57 PM The only place to sit out there was under the trees. Luckily cipher and another friend put some chairs down early to get a spot saved. It was perfect to see Charlotte's Web. I saw in that paper that Barber missed the cut for the 2009 IRL race, that sucks. Ced 08-01-2008, 04:03 PM The only place to sit out there was under the trees. Oh yeah, the trees to the left of the car caorral is the best spot; across from the hairpin; you can see most of the track from there. Wow...Barber missed the cut for 09?! http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2008/07/barber_motorsports_park_doesnt.html haxmire 08-01-2008, 06:29 PM Oh yeah, the trees to the left of the car caorral is the best spot; across from the hairpin; you can see most of the track from there. I was really hoping they were going to go out there but I knew it really wasn't that realistic for this year cause they have only tested for one day. I am sure there will be more tests and for the future the series may end up coming here. |
