I wonder if this would work on the M70/M73 engine. I had this set on my 5.8 V8.

What do you guys think, would it work on the M70/73 engine?

I would guess that they would not work.
The phenolic spacers are rigid and the V12 gaskets are flexible to take the stress of movement of the heavy long runner manifolds.
A rigid piece in place of the standard ones would transfer all of the stress to the bolt holes in the heads with no damping at all. I don't think that it would survive too long :(

The intakes are cantilevered way too far to use phenolic spacers. The reason the intake "gaskets" are semi-rigid is to prevent the bolts from ripping right out of the head (among other things...) from the harmonics that would occur with this setup.
