Sounds Great, you can hear the engine sucking in the air, quite loud too. Its is a easy mod, couple clips and two bolts. Well worth it. Take a look at the pics i put up.

yeah, it "sucks" so much you'd you'd be better off putting the stock airbox back on

y do u say that, it sounds great and i get a few more horses. And why would it be better.

Was depressing driving my 318i a little today lol. Such a big difference.

I really hope you guys all go and buy that ACS rear deck spoiler that covers up that fugly bangle butt. I saw one with the spoiler, it really helped the car. If the only had something to clean up that hash on the front fender....

Our dealership was selling Z4s at COST...the truck did something and the roofs were damage. They put on new roofs, but couldn't sell them like the "new" cars.

It would have been a tremendous deal, they even had the merlot...but I am not in the market!

Nice car, though. Maybe if/when they get one with a bit more power... :D ...

WHAT A BLAST TO DRIVE!

I have a Z4 3.0i with the SMG tranny. Titanium Silver and black leather. Got it back on July 21st and have 1700 miles on it all ready. Absolutely lovin it. Will post pics soon. Ran my first AutoX in it today and had a blast. Didn't score well but that was more me than the car.

Taking it up for a cruise thru New England starting Monday. Gonna power run up I95 to Boston, visit my brother, then up into Maine. Then back roads only west thru N.H., VT, the Adirondacs and then... who knows where I'll head next.

And have a blast!

im really digging the Z4 - give it some M action and I would be sold.

So far my only complaint with mine is I think the pedals feel a little bit soft- as compared to my 318i & Z3...
They are just a little on the mushy side imo- other than that I absolutly love the car.

I guess my only disappointment so far, and it's minor, is with the SMG tranny during normal street driving. The upshift is beautiful in either normal or 'sports' mode but, when slowing down, it will downshift for you as reach certain preset speeds to prevent stalling. This is fine except that when it decides to downshift, it will ignore your inputs. Example.. decreasing speed while in 4th gear, it decides to go to 3rd at the moment I hit the shifter with a double pump to go to 2nd... the tranny will go to 3rd.

I ran my first AutoX in it yesterday and the tranny was fine. Then again there wasn't much shifting to be done. 1st to 2nd at the start... stayed in 2nd, hit third for a short stretch during a long shallow curve, and back to 2nd to the finish.
