The Air Bag light is coming on and going off like it should, then it comes straight back on and stays on for approx 2mins 20 seconds. Then goes out and stays out for rest of your journey.

Any ideas? Is there a self test procedure I can try?

Is your contact ring beginning to break? Maybe its periodically making connection, and disconnecting. However that would be more randomized srs warning, not consistent with the 2min 20sec you described. Just a thought, hopefully we can come up with some ideas.
