Hi everyone. I'm new here. My name is Rich Truesdell and I am the Editorial Director of Automotive Traveler. On Wednesday I was up in the California desert doing an environmental road test of the new Dodge Durango Two Mode Hybrid when I encountered a group of BMW prototypes running various levels of cladding, obviously doing near-final hot weather testing. On Wednesday, where I was, it was 119 degrees, making it quite hot.
Unfortunately, since I am a new member, the fourum will not let me post either images or direct links to the photos so if you want to actually see the photos I took of the next 7-Series (yes, I know that BMW, because of the leak of the official press materials released official photos today), the next Z4, and what appears to be the rumored hybrid version of the X6, you will have to visit the Automotive Traveler web site (shouldn't be too hard to figure out the URL). Maybe someone here has information as to exactly what X6 version I actually shot and can post the information here or add a comment to my blog over on Automotive Traveler.
If someone here, who has posting privledges, wants to post the three lead photos of each vehicle to this thread, please feel free to do so.
Have a great Fourth of July weekend,
Richard Truesdell
Editorial Director, Automotive Traveler
