Does anyone have any knowledge about Fikse wheels? I am looking at a Classic FM /10. I have a 98 M3 and would like to fit 8.5 x 18 in the front and 9.5 x 18 in the back. Hoping to fit a 235/40 in the front and a 265/35 in the back. I am wondering how light the wheels are and what the quality is like? My fenders are already rolled so I don't think that the rear will be a problem.
Anyone know of a source in Southern California where I can purchase these at the best price possible?

I have the fm10's in 17x8.5 all around. The are extreamly strong(forged) and really light(17lbs). I dont think the 9.5 will fit in the rear w/ 265's even w/ rolling fenders, but I may be wrong. Great choice of wheels, I love mine!

Concerning the 17 inch Fikse, are you running 245/40 at all 4 corners? If you are, are you using any spacers in the front? What is your offset in the front?

i dont have fikse's on my car, but i do have 18X9's in back with 255's, and im pretty sure thats just about as wide as the e36 can take without major fender work.

yup, 245/40/17 all around. No need for spacers, all wheels are a 37mm offset. No rubbing problems at all and looks aggresive as hell! I love 'em, but I may sell them soon if I start to part out my car.

To the person with the 17x 8.5 Fikse wheels. What is your e-mail address? I may be interested in your wheels if you want to sell them. What brand of tire are your running? Do you think that you could go wider on the rear?

mtrsprt3@excite.com the rims have pilot sports on them w/ %90 tread. 255 would fit in the rear w/ fenders rolled. Why do you want such big tires in the rear?

I need more rubber due to the modification that I made. I added a cold air intake, throttle body and new software. This made a jump of 30 hp and the car needs more adhesion as I shift from 1st to 2nd and also as I accelerate around corners. On 8.5 inch rims, wider tires may not actually help much, thus I might go with the 9 or 9.5 in the rear. I have a performance shop that has put 9.5s on the rear and have put 265x35 on the rears without any rubbing. If you load the rear with 200 pound people, perhaps a bit of rubbing on bumps may occur. I am not sure.

So what you are saying is that due to your driving style, you need more rubber. Because the extra 15hp you got from your mods doesn't need more rubber.

I have the Fikse FM-10 17x8 front 225/45/17 and 17x9 at the rear with a 245/40/17. I'm running Bridstones SO-3s and the grip is amazing. I don't really experience understeer so I'm going to keep this setup until I feel I need more grip. I can probably fit a 255 in the rear but the SO-3s run wider than other tires of the same size.
