So i was looking into my brothers x5 for him. it's a 2001 4.4l x5.

has the check engine light on.

so i plug in my peake research scanner in the diag port inside of the vehicle...the scanner started falshing E E E E E , as in error. I went under the hood and popped the cap of the diag port there and noticed it was fried.

any info on this?
