Hello all,

I currently have a 2004 BMW 745 Li with about 71000 miles on it. I wanted to perform a complete tuneup including brakes, filters, and anything else that would need replacement. I would like to perform this now rather than later.

I am very sceptical of the 100,000 milestone, I am accustom to doing full tuneups prior to that magical number provided by the manufacturer. Would anyone on here be able to provide me with an indepth list of things to replace / perform? Also, how many air filters, belts, spark plugs, etc...would I require?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello and Welcome To BimmerForums!

Most BMW Manufacturer Specifications are right on the money when it comes to service intervals and replacing parts. It does, of course, depend on variables like how you (personally) drive your car, the mileage of your vehicle, whether you're driving a lot of Highway or Stop-And-Go miles, physical road conditions, etc etc. Premature wearing of brake parts (and other parts) depends on these, and other, variables.

I have moved your query here into the E54, E66 Sub-Forum so that others, more familiar with your model, can offer specific recommendations and advice on what you're looking for.

Good Luck with your Ride!

The CBS system will tell you when services are due.
