Ok.. soo.. like i said earlier.. brought the car in tuesday at the buttcrack of dawn.. they finished it wednesday afternoon... went to go pick it up today (thursday)..

I check the car out.. first thing I notice.. it's sitting out front and the doors were left unlocked.. ( :nono hmmm..) .. good thing I removed most of the electronic toy... go around. to the rear...

dent is gone... paint is blended in very well as far as I can tell.. smoother than a baby's butt.. so to speak.. look at it a little more.... hmmm.. something is a little funky looking...

Now I know what's up... my bumper is hanging off the car all wierd .. I step back.. look at the lines... feel around... and yea.. the bumper is on worse than when I brought it in.. literally... :95

before it was hanging low on one side.. and off towards the passenger side... now.. it's hanging even lower on that side with a gap large enough to fit my hand in.. and the side that wasn't hanging low.... you guessed it.. is now hanging low enough to get my fingers in... and of course it's still all shifted to the passenger side..soo.. yea.. the bumper is on worse than when I brought it in..

I dunno what the guy was thinking.. if he thought I would be too dumb to notice... i mean, come on.. should be obvious to him the car isn't stock.. and he had to of opened the trunk and seen all the car care products in the trunk... so it's pretty evident I pay attention to my car..

Tomorrow I'm gonna go pick it up again.. gonna bring a book with me just in case.. and make them fix it infront of me if it's not up to spec.. oh.. and gotta check the impact strip.. they were supposed to replace it.. gonna see if they did or not.. it was a small scrape.. only noticeable if you know what to look for... if not they better replace it or give me money back.. :complain

Update:
Okay.. supposedly they fixed it... apparently it was a mechanical problem.. the rear impact dampener was damaged which was making the bumper hang all wierd.. of course replacing it cost an extra $100+ ... we'll see.. the lady said she thinks I'll be please... we'll see.. oh yea.... we will see won't we? oh yes.. we shall.... :evil2

ANd the saga continues! Picked up my car this morning.. bumper is on nicely... looking good.. feel around again.. inspect again.. WTF?!?!? There's a nice scratch on the bumper now.. go in again.. lady says she saw that and claimed that it was there before... I'm like... "noooo... yesterday that scratch was not there..." she thought it wasn't part of the accident and that the insurance said to fix the top part... i'm like.. uhh.. no.. i went along with it being from the accident and that they missed it.. but inspecting the scratch.. it happened after it was painted.. definitely between today and yesterday.. probably when they removed the bumper and put it back on... it's 2 scratches.. near the bottom of the bumper.. one scratch is about 2 inches long and the other 1.5 inches long... both scratches are very thin..look like cleans swipes with a knife..not noticeable unless your down there looking and up close... but still scratches that shouldn't be there... i'm supposed to bring it back monday.. they're supposed to give me a loaner car for free.. but I was supposed to go back to tucson monday/tuesday.. I'm not really feeling this.. i'm thinking it's not worth it...

Oh yea.. get this.. I have no idea why.. they unplugged my car battery.. so I had to wait about 2 hours at the dealership to get the code.. it took them all 5 minutes to get it.. what pisses me off more is that I was there first.. they came and talked to me first but they helped 3 other people who showed up after me first.. and of course.. my fix was the quickest.. (!@#$!@#$) which is why i never go to dealerships anymore...
Ohyea.. hey Doug.. i saw you working there.. running around doing stuff.. but I don't think you recognized me.

er.. oh yes.. back to Scottsdale Autobody tale.. when I brought the car in.. i locked the glovebox.. i decided to check it out before I left.. it was unlocked.. wtf?? why the heck would they need to be going through my glovebox when the damage is on my rear bumper... to make matters worse... my quarters were all gone! I had a full stack in the coinholder plus 5 more in the cupholder... when i looked.. ONE friggin quarter in my holder.. what's up with that? did they think I wouldn't notice if they left one quarter in the holder?!?!? and I needed those too!

Oh yea.. i also asked them about why my car was left unlocked.. they said they typically leave the cars unlocked because they have security cameras everywhere so theft is "usually" not a problem... yea.. because your workers steal the stuff before people off the streets can!!

And on a funnier note.. my sister drove me again.. she's visiting home like myself.. but she's here for a sports conference (she's a sports contract agent for a company on the eastcoast).. they're going over really boring legal stuff.. but then again.. there's a bunch of retired athletes there.. anyway.. she got out of her car when I was talking to the person about the (new) scratches.. oh yea.. she was about ready to break out with a lawsuit! hahaha..

all in all... Scottsdale Autobody is really really sketchy! stay away from them.. of all the shops I've been to.. i have never had any of these problems...

Jeez man, sounds like a crappy experiance. Keep after them, I'd mention something about the better buisness beauro (I can't spell) if they give you any more crap about getting your car fixed. That's pretty wild man.

Perhaps we should all go over there and 'ask' them to treat you right.
