brand new in oem bmw box business cd player. this is the blaupunkt-made business cd player from the '97-'00 model years with the round plug connectors - no special adapter harness needed - plug and play. this cd player has the same "guts" as the cd43 cd player. excellent sound quality. includes installation tool.

haven't personally tried (it is still in the box - lol!)...

i don't think so, though.

i don't think any of the e39 cds play mp3...only '04+ x5, which is the same chassis design. ($$$)

it *should*, however, play burned cds (.wav format).
