Well First off when I got my 7, it wasn't in the best looking shape so I have done a few things here and there. But I am still a long way from where I want to be.
Anyway I got tired of looking at that ugly phone cradle with no phone and a old crusty armest,so I decided to do something about it.Well I decided to remove the cradle. So I called a few dealers around no one had the replacement tray,so I decided to make my own. I had a few extra peices of black suede left over from when I did my headliner. Also I had a few peices of black leather laying around from a leather kit I had.
Anyway enough with the story and on with the pics!!

If you are wondering why I put black on my armrest, it is because I am working on doing a 2 tone look for my interior.Don't worry nothing tackey but here is a sample of what I have done so far.

Next step is black carpet, and 2 tone seats.:D Also before anyone asks the staples were temp till I got it how I wanted it then I glued it down which made it lok better.

Thats Very intersting... I would like to know how the final result looks. I wanted to try and swap my beige seats for my dads black ones. Black interior w/ beige seats and Beige interior w/ black seats. I just wonder how that would look.

Well it's gonna be a while before I do the seats since I am about to purchase a new home. But I am going to order the kit thru the company I work for. In case anyone was wondering I am a leather installer and have been doing this for years. I have done a few of my other cars where I did complete interior changes such as from grey to black.ect.. But I wanna go 2 tone on this one.

example this was my 96 honda civic hatch that I changed from grey to black because the car was trashed when I got it. I paid about 1100 for the car and put about 300 into it and sold it for 2800.

Wow. If your 7 is done 1/2 as well as the civic it will be eye-popping. Congratulations for turning around a tired example too!

I got a pm asking me how hard was it to do the headliner, so I thought I would show the pics on how I did it.

I couldn't take this anymore!!

Just to give anyone a heads up if they try to do there own. Please do yourself a favor and take off that first layer on the headliner because if you don't it will not stick well, and will be wasting alot of material.

Did you send it to a shop to be redone or did you do it yourself?
